Grab your 2024 calendars! The winter months are busy with planning, planning and more planning for everything we have coming in 2024. Details and links to registration will be shared as they come together for these events (and for a few other events not yet finalized) but for now, simply save-the-dates!
Our season kick-off at Mt. Telemark Village offers multiple nights of camping and fun. Other event weekends are listed as Friday, Saturday and Sunday and camping will be available Friday and Saturday nights. We plan to spread many activities over multiple event days but Saturday and Sunday will still be the primary days for pre-ride and racing. We also have a new venue, Camp Tesomas,in Rhinelander, on our schedule as a full league event. Lots more details to come!

And, learn about our year-end fundraising campaign RIDE TOGETHER, THRIVE TOGETHER. The WI League is a non-profit organization and participant fees only cover a portion of our annual expenses. Sponsorships and donations are key to building strong minds, bodies, character and communities through cycling! Please give what you can to help us move our League forward.

2023 was a big year for our league with more than 1900 student-athletes, record-setting participation in Teen Trail Corps, new Adventure Rides, the introduction of the GRiT Junior Ambassador program and the piloting of a Try-it-Out program.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS NOMINATION PERIOD IS OPEN

While the Wisconsin League Board of Directors often works unnoticed in the background to daily operations, we are actively supporting the League Director and staff operations, liaising with NICA, and carrying the fiduciary responsibility for the long-term health and growth of the organization. Having a strong and active board is tantamount to long-term league success.
We are now looking to our amazing community to gather nominations for persons interested to serve a three-year term. Experience in one of the following make for an ideal candidate:
Corporate Governance (Legal, Insurance, HR, Operations)
Financial Control (Accounting, Banking, Negotiation, Procurement)
Diversity & Inclusion (Community, Networking, Connections)
Candidates do not need to be coaches or have current student-athletes in the League, but they must believe in the mission and vision of NICA and be passionate in regard to youth development and getting #MoreKidsOnBikes.
All nominations and/or applications must be complete by Friday, January 5 at 5pm. Candidates will then be reviewed and interviewed by current board members.
Announcement of new members of the Board of Directors will be made at the WI League Annual Meeting on February 6.
