The NICA Approved First Aid course is designed to cover common and serious medical medical issues you might encounter. This is a general overview with the primary goal of teaching recognition to individuals who will be coaching for a NICA Mountain Bike Team.
There are two components: Online modules ~ 4hours & Practical Skills ~4.5 hours
The online module will need to be completed prior to the start of the class by the attendee.
The practical skills day is a fast paced, half day course that focuses on a review of online curriculum, teaching a bit of new content, and a lot of time using practical skills scenarios. It is recommended that students bring equipment to the practical skills day that they would have at a NICA team practice (i.e. first aid kit).
