Bluff Bash is the first full Festival Weekend of the season, bringing the entire WI NICA community together for an unforgettable Labor Day weekend.\n\n\n\nThere are A LOT of details for this first-time, two-day racing format that we will be sharing but the general plan is as follows, but also subject to change.  \n\n\n\nPre-ride for each conference will be first thing in the morning, followed by racing.  Therefore, we recommend the South Conference teams arrive to the area Friday evening and the North Conference teams arrive either Friday evening or on Saturday.  Camping closes on Monday morning.  Camping is a convenient option, but not required.\n\n\n\nFriday: Camping opens \n\n\n\nSaturday: South Conference Pre-Ride & Race.  North Conference Adventure Riding & Spectating.\n\n\n\nSunday: North Conference Pre-Ride & Race. Led by trained WI NICA staff, this small-group experience offers limited capacity to ensure a strong coach-to-athlete ratio and a supportive environment.\n\n\n\nRiders will explore the outdoors in a whole new way—combining cycling with self-supported travel. The Northwoods Navigator Ride is all about exploration, connection, and building confidence on the trail.\n\n\n\nStudent-athletes and coches will dive into fun, hands-on wayfinding and mapping activities—learning how to navigate trails, read terrain, and explore with purpose.\n\n\n\nWith onsite camping availalbe on Friday and Saturday, evenings are just as memorable—campfires, laughs with friends, and time to unplug and enjoy the outdoors together.\n\n\n\nThis experience is included in 2026 registration and is for both North & South Conferences. DESCRIPTION:\nNew this season, NICA Bikepacking is an unforgettable 3-day, 2-night adventure designed for riders ready to take their skills to the next level. Led by trained WI NICA staff, this small-group experience offers limited capacity to ensure a strong coach-to-athlete ratio and a supportive environment.\n\n\n\nRiders will explore the outdoors in a whole new way—combining cycling with self-supported travel. Along the way, they’ll build confidence, teamwork, and resilience while learning how to plan routes, carry gear, and camp together under the stars.\n\n\n\nAthletes can bring and load as much gear as they’re able onto their bikes using provided rack systems (or their own), with additional gear supported by a SAG van. After the work, hit the trails you helped create and ride together!Optional camping available Saturday night for an additional charge. Reservations required.\n\n\n\nSunday:Keep the good vibes going with fun, team-led group rides at Timberland Hills and nearby trails.\n\n\n\nThis experience is all about giving back, building skills, and riding with your community—and open to both north & south conferences and is included with 2026 student-athlete registration.
